There is just something about mushrooms that evoke fairy tales and forest floors full of magic.
This botanical study was inspired by a real mushroom found in the Adirondack mountain forest. It was free hand burned and painted. The hemp hanging cords have been adored with a real amber bead.
No trees are ever damaged in the making of our products. Each ornament I make is from a fallen tree limb. Either fallen on my property, or scoured from my neighborhood or friends wood piles. Hence our name, Forage.
The ornament is sliced from the branch and sanded in three steps before I wood burn an organic design onto it. Paint it and then wood burn again. Each image is done free hand, so no two are exactly alike. Finished with a water based poly for a satiny smooth finish.
Size is approximately 3” Diameter
Naturally occurring imperfections are present in every piece of wood. Nothing is perfect, but that's the beauty of Nature!
