ABOUT THE INGREDIENTS

CHAMOMILE

Since ancient times, chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile) has been used to ameliorate a multitude score of ailments. Chamomile is a Greek word meaning ‘Earth’s apple’ due to its pleasant apple-like fragrance.

Chamomile is a phenomenal emmenagogue. It helps with irregular periods and cramps followed by scarce bleeding. Its calming property makes it perfect for the treatment of insomnia and other sleep-related disorders. Also, it is used fervently to cater to flatulence, bloating, gas, asthma, liver dysfunction, and urinary tract infections. Various pharmaceutical industries use chamomile in mouthwashes, sunscreen, cleansers, and insect repellents.

CATNIP

Catnip (Nepeta cataria) is a gigantic herbaceous perennial that serves as a hot spot for cats. It has a square-shaped stem with fragrant pink or white flowers and brownish-green triangular leaves.

Catnip is insanely popular among tea lovers. Medicinally, it is known to cater to nervous disorders, especially depression, anxiety, stress, insomnia, and other sleep disorders. For women, catnip has proved to be an impressive emmenagogue as it induces menstruation and reduces menstrual cramps. Also, it tends to digestive issues, such as flatulence, bloating, loss of appetite, and intestinal cramps.

PASSIONFLOWER

Passionflower (Passiflora incarnata) is a gorgeous plant, also recognized as a passion vine. This ethereal vine produces delicate flowers that evolve into a big oval fleshy fruit. Passionflower comes in 400 different varieties due to which some species of the genus express herbaceous while others express woody characteristics.

Passionflowers accentuate the activity of inhibitory neurotransmitters in a body with overly-aggressive neurons. This helps the person to get a good night’s sleep, thereby treating insomnia. It also assists in the management of attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), opioid withdrawal symptoms, and alleviating nervousness prior to surgery. Passionflower facilitates the uptake of nutrition at the nervous level to gently rehabilitate the weakened nerves.

LAVENDER

Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) is a small herbaceous perennial that serves exquisitely both in culinary and medicinal disciplines. It includes gray-green leaves and long lilac or lavender-colored flowering shoots. The leaves can attain a pinnate shape or be simple measuring 1 to 2 inches. Its flower can be seen on shoots or spikes and can reach a height of about 1-3 feet.

Lavender is employed to cater to a lot of disorders such as insomnia, anxiety, restlessness, depression, acne, and so forth. It is also used to promote hair growth. Also, it fights fungal infections, normalizes blood pressure and heart rate, and deals with countless skin ailments.
